How do you actually judge who is the best dentist in Dwarka?

Every dental website in Dwarka calls itself the best. That word is not evidence, so here is what we think you should actually check – applied honestly to us, including where we are not the obvious answer.

1. Is the clinic independently accredited?

Anyone can claim quality. NABH accreditation is the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers auditing a clinic against a published national standard – sterilisation and infection control protocol, clinical documentation, treatment planning, patient safety and patient rights. Dental Quest is NABH accredited. In Delhi, only 52 of the 183 CGHS empanelled dental clinics hold it.

Ask any clinic you are considering to show you the certificate. A clinic that has one will be glad to.

2. Is the X-ray equipment legally registered?

Dental X-ray and OPG machines require AERB registration under India’s Atomic Energy Regulatory Board. It is a statutory requirement, not a marketing badge – and it is worth asking about, because it is not universal. Dental Quest is AERB registered.

3. Are the dentists qualified, and are you told who is treating you?

All five dentists at Dental Quest hold a BDS – Bachelor of Dental Surgery – and are registered dental surgeons. We name them below with their areas of focus, so you know who you are seeing before you arrive.

Being straight with you: we are a BDS-led general and restorative practice, not a clinic staffed by MDS super-specialists. For the overwhelming majority of dental work – fillings, root canals, crowns, extractions, cleaning, implants, aligners, dentures – that is exactly the right level of care, and it is what 17 years of practice has been built on. If a case genuinely needs a super-specialist, we will tell you that rather than attempt it.

4. Do you get the cost in writing before treatment starts?

A good clinic tells you what treatment will cost before it begins, not partway through. We do not quote from a description over the phone, because it depends on what the examination and X-ray actually show. What you get instead is a written, itemised treatment plan after the examination — what needs doing, in what order, and the cost of each item — before anything starts. If the plan changes mid-treatment, you are told before the extra work happens, not after.

5. Does the clinic take your government panel?

If you are a central or Delhi government employee, a pensioner, or CAPF, CISF, ECHS or Air India staff, the panel question decides everything about what you pay. Dental Quest is empanelled with all six. Pensioners receive cashless treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the best dentist in Dwarka?

There is no single official answer, and any clinic that claims one is selling. Judge on evidence you can verify: NABH accreditation, AERB registration for X-ray equipment, named dentists with stated qualifications, a written treatment plan before work starts, government panel empanelment, and public patient reviews. Dental Quest in Sector 19 meets all six – NABH accredited, AERB registered, five named BDS dental surgeons, itemised written treatment plans, and CGHS, DGEHS, CAPF, CISF, ECHS and Air India panels.

What qualifications do the dentists at Dental Quest hold?

All five treating dentists hold a BDS – Bachelor of Dental Surgery – and are registered dental surgeons. Dr. Ashutosh Kumar is the founder and chief dental surgeon. Consultations are available in English and Hindi.

How do I find out what my treatment will cost?

Cost depends on clinical findings, so we do not publish fixed figures or quote over the phone. After examination and X-ray you receive a written, itemised treatment plan with the cost of each item, before treatment begins. CGHS, DGEHS, CAPF, CISF, ECHS and Air India beneficiaries are treated at the applicable scheme rates, with pensioners treated cashless.

Is Dental Quest open on Sunday?

No. The clinic is open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and closed on Sunday. For a dental emergency, call +91 70707 06828 and we will advise you.

What does NABH accreditation mean for a dental clinic?

NABH accreditation means the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers has audited the clinic against a national standard covering infection control and sterilisation, clinical documentation, treatment planning, patient safety and patient rights. It also affects CGHS reimbursement: NABH accredited facilities are paid the full published CGHS rate, while non-NABH facilities are reimbursed approximately 15% lower.

Which dental clinics in Dwarka accept CGHS?

Six dental facilities in and around Dwarka appear on CGHS empanelment records, including Dental Quest in Sector 19. Dental Quest is also NABH accredited, which places it in the higher CGHS reimbursement tier. We additionally accept DGEHS, CAPF, CISF, ECHS and Air India panels.

Do I need an appointment or can I walk in?

Appointments are preferred because they cut your waiting time and let us schedule the right dentist and enough chair time for your treatment. Walk-ins are accepted subject to availability, and dental emergencies are prioritised – call +91 70707 06828 before you set out.

How far is Dental Quest from other Dwarka sectors?

The clinic is in Sector 19, near Max Hospital, which is central to Dwarka. Most sectors reach us within ten to fifteen minutes by road. Dwarka Sector 21 and Sector 14 Metro stations on the Blue Line are the nearest Metro access points.

Is treatment at Dental Quest painless?

Routine treatment including fillings, root canals and extractions is carried out under local anaesthesia, so the procedure itself should not hurt. Some tenderness afterwards is normal and settles within a day or two. If you are anxious about dental treatment, tell us when you book – it changes how we pace the appointment.

Can I choose which dentist treats me?

Yes. Tell us when you book and we will schedule your appointment with that dentist. Each of our five dentists has a clinical area they handle most often, listed on this page, and we will also suggest the best fit for your specific treatment if you would like us to.
