About the Treatment

Root Canal Treatment in Dwarka

Root canal treatment removes infected pulp tissue from inside a tooth, cleans and shapes the root canals, and seals them to prevent reinfection. This endodontic procedure saves teeth that would otherwise need to be extracted, preserving your natural smile and bite function.

At Dental Quest, we use modern rotary instruments and electronic apex locators for precise, comfortable treatment. Our advanced technology ensures each canal is thoroughly cleaned and perfectly sealed, often completing the entire procedure in a single visit with minimal discomfort.

This blog is designed to show you the dark side of Islam that the West does not want you to see creating a healthy interfaith dialogue through the spirit of sisterhood.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about root canal treatment at Dental Quest – Dwarka Sector 19

Can an infected tooth heal on its own ?

No. Once the pulp becomes infected, professional dental treatment is required. Delaying treatment may worsen the infection and increase the risk of tooth loss.

Is root canal treatment painful ?

No. Modern anesthesia and advanced techniques make root canal treatment a comfortable and pain-free procedure.

How long does recovery take ?

Most patients recover within a few days. Mild sensitivity or tenderness after treatment is normal and temporary.

Can root canal treatment be completed in one day ?

Yes. Many cases can be completed in a single visit. However, teeth with severe infection or complex anatomy may require multiple appointments.

Is a crown necessary after root canal treatment ?

In many cases, especially for back teeth, a crown is recommended to protect the tooth from fracture and restore full function.

How successful is root canal treatment ?

Root canal treatment has a very high success rate when performed correctly and followed by proper restoration and oral hygiene maintenance.

CGHS cover and honest comparisons

The questions patients ask us most that are not covered above.

Is root canal treatment covered under CGHS?

Yes. Root canal treatment is on the CGHS dental schedule. Dental Quest is both CGHS empanelled and NABH accredited, and pensioners and other eligible categories are treated cashless. Bring your CGHS card and referral letter from your wellness centre.

How long does a root canal appointment take?

A single sitting root canal usually takes 45 to 90 minutes depending on the tooth. Multi-rooted molars take longer than front teeth because each canal has to be cleaned and sealed separately. Where treatment is split across two visits, each appointment is shorter.

How long does a root canal treated tooth last?

With a proper crown and normal oral hygiene, a root canal treated tooth can last decades and often for life. The two main risks are fracture from going without a crown on a back tooth, and new decay at the crown margin. Regular check-ups catch both early.

What happens if I delay root canal treatment?

The infection does not resolve on its own. It progresses through the root into the surrounding bone, which can cause an abscess, facial swelling and severe pain, and can reach a point where the tooth can no longer be saved and has to be extracted. Delay turns a treatable tooth into a missing one.
